French/Swiss duo Benoit Creac'h and Julia Gaudard like the mixed-media approach, that's for sure. Why just use one animation style when you can have animation, puppetry and live action all at the same time

The result, in their video for Tahiti Boy and The Palmtree Family, is Alan Aldridge meets CBeebies on acid. In a sweetshop. And Ben and Julia don't like using computers, until they really have to, so all the 'colouring-in' was by hand, using painting and even felt-tips.

There's also a story here, primarily about three awe-struck mushroom brothers, which you'll need a passing 4 year old to explain to you. But what is absolutely real is the lovely setting: a forest near the Leman Lake in the Alps, where Julia used to pick mushrooms with her granddad.
