Take That have been making sophisticated, intelligent pop videos ever since their comeback. So good to see they've got together with Lindy Heymann, who knows all about making sophisticated, intelligent pop videos.

And the result is one of their most reflective and downbeat videos ever - a twist on the 'tears of a clown' theme, where putting on clown's makeup reveals more than it conceals.

So for a boy/man-band enjoying a glorious second coming it's brave. And, of course, it's proper filmmaking. The photography by Rob Hardy is superb.

Meanwhile, Lindy's new movie Kicks is premiering at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 20th, and has been nominated for the Michael Powell Award.
