And here's why: this nine minute epic of glamour, luxury, fantasy and sex that is Jonas's video for Duran Duran's Girl Panic!, starring Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen, Eva Herzigova and Yasmin Le Bon - playing the band. It was shot at the Savoy Hotel in London over two days, in a project that also saw Jonas shoot 22 pages of editorial and the Christmas cover of <em>Harpers Bazaar</em> with these five first-generation supermodels. And it's a jawdropping demonstration in what's possible with substantial brand sponsorship. In his Icon Award film at the MVAs, Iggy Pop said that Jonas makes his videos seem bigger than the screen itself. And this is classic, über-Akerlund – escapist, erotic, irresistable... and brilliantly reconnects Duran Duran with the glamour of the supermodel era, and their own iconic early music videos.
