The Chemical Brothers 'Don't Think' by Adam Smith: the trailer

David Knight - 5th Dec 2011

Don't Think, the Chemical Brothers' feature length concert doc directed by longtime visual collaborator Adam Smith, is released early in 2012. As the new trailer suggests, it's completely awesome.

Adam's innovative direction of the BBC's coverage of the Chems' Glastonbury show this year was a mere taster of what he's achieved with Don't Think. Shot at the famous Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, its a complete immersion of live event and concert visuals into an extraordinary sensory experience. It's also the first-ever concert recorded in Dolby 7.1 surround sound.

"After 18 years of working on the Chemical Brothers live show we have finally captured it on film; you could almost say it's 18 years in the making," Adam has told the NME. "The aim was to create a different type of concert film for a different type of show."

There's a special advance screening being held at Picture House, Hackney on Thursday, 26 January 2012. Tickets to the event can be purchased here, and a special event to be held on February 3rd, with details coming soon.
