Charlie Winston 'Where Can I Find Happiness' by Tim Brown
Jimmy Brown - 25th Apr 2012
Tim Brown takes to the streets of New York with singer Charlie Winston for the retro soul of Where Can I Find Happiness.
Tim delivers a natural, organic promo with Winston photographing New Yorkers with his equally retro camera...
"The idea of using a camera as a device really appealed to me as we could tell the story of Charlie's journey using a number of different photographic techniques and styles of filming," says Tim. "Portraiture was always going to be very important part of this video and for us it was about approaching a range of everyday people on the street.
"We didn't want to shoot lots of beautiful extras, it was about speaking to, and giving a brief snap shot of the people of NYC. Charlie was great on the shoot. We wanted find interesting stories and once we got into it, we literally couldn't stop him disappearing off across main roads to charm people into being in the video."
