“The narrative of the video is fairly straightforward, it’s a look at a fleeting relationship between a girl and Yannick (Petite Noir)” explain Tim & Joe on the promo to Petit Noir’s Noirse – shot at Rowan’s Bowling Alley in London. “At the start of filming I tried not to stage too much where possible.

“Yannick and Maria, the leading lady, didn’t know each other and both hadn’t acted before. So a lot of the moments we captured were real instances of the two getting to know each other. With the crew present in these early stages we developed an understanding of the couples chemistry. This helped give us an understanding of the style of relationship they might have and gave us a good idea of the mood to set for the film.

“We chose locations that had one main thing in common. That was the type of lighting that was mixed or coloured. Marcus did a great job capturing the scenes handheld in these places with a small crew and minimal lighting. The club location Ryan the commissioner found, its actually a shed in someone’s garden that has been converted into a club.

“That was the final location we shot and after two days with a great team it was a mad place to finish the shoot”.
