A serene, contemplative Karen O sings quietly about despair in some anonymous dive bar underneath a tired disco ball. Nick Zinner, tranquil, looks out from a yellow cab while Brian Chase nearly falls asleep on the subway.

This is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Back in New York City. Back on their home turf. And director Patrick Daughters catches the band at this one magnificent moment, when we all realise they're now as much a part of indie rock's foundation as the Empire State Building is of America.

And so, the three assembled atop the Empire State, like they've heeded a sonic call to arms. Nick's guitar reverberates from America's crown jewel at a dizzying 1,224 feet and you can almost feel it shuddering through the city. As a matter of fact, they played their instruments live during the shoot, letting those powerful gusts of wind quite literally carry every drum beat and chord over New York at dawn.

This is their journey. From obscure art-rockers holding the attention of small dive bar crowds over a decade ago, to being the first band ever to shoot a video on top of this truly iconic landmark. This is the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with indie rock's torch in hand.
