Rob Brandon - aka V/H/Yes and one half of directing duo Rob & Rob - takes on his brother's band Magistrates in this lo-fi, aged VHS tape-style promo for the band's When We Are Apart.

A line-up of retro, nerdy-looking characters perform deadpan, lip-syncing to camera to create a tongue-in-cheek montage complimenting the alt-pop of the soundtrack...

V/H/Yes:

"Magistrates is my brothers band. They are all very awkward people, I tried to push that. We shot it in my living room last weekend. I finished editing it the other night.

"There were no expectations and no one to approve it but the band themselves and so its been a very quick process, which I love. I do love shooting videos where money has no role. Although Rob and I are ready for a Rihanna video now."
