Ninja Tune's East Anglian rapper Dels and directing team Us have a special relationship. Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor of Us got their directing career off the ground (back when they were Us Design Studio) making Dels's videos for Shapeshift and Trumpalump. Now, with a new album in the offing, comes this for Burning Beaches.

Where graphic ideas was the hallmark of their previous collaborations, this is a more subtle, narrative-driven affair. It's also a superb piece of work, in which reality - an argument with his girlfriend in a rural petrol station at twilight - merges seamlessly with the artist's imagination. 

"This is the fourth music video that I've had directed by Us," says Dels, clearly very happy how the Burning Beaches video turned out. "We have a great working relationship and they completely understand how I want to represent my music, visually. The video is about how paranoia in a relationship can affect your dreams and then in turn affect your reality."
