Who would have thought it? We all know that Noel Gallagher is not a great fan of making music videos. If we didn't suspect it from the wooden performances in some of his previous videos, his hilarious commentary for the Oasis DVD compilation a few years ago confirmed it.
But now comes this - an absolutely brilliant music video for Ballad Of The Mighty I, directed by John Hardwick.
And it's all about Noel's performance. Through his skill as a director - and possibly the application of some good old fashioned common sense – John Hardwick has achieved a sort of alchemy. He's turned the famous Gallagher antipathy to making videos into a positive, and into pure gold.Â
