Gorgeously photographed and richly graded, up-and-coming director Irrum has delivered this mystifying video for Norwegian singer-songwriter Kari Jahnsen, aka Farao's track Hunter. Visually, its a departure from Irrum's previous studio-shot promo for Sasha Siem's So Polite, but is similar in its strange, somewhat uncanny delivery of visual information.

Shot in Snowdonia, Wales, the video is made up of wonderfully composed shots zooming in and out of various visual clues. Thematically consistent with the song, it follows a loose narrative of the hunter and the prey, with narratively evocative shots of a serpent and an eagle seeking their next meal, camouflaged faces amongst the inhospitable wilderness, and most surprising of all, a shot of a human body submerged in the mossy clearing of a rocky valley, in eternal, icy rest. 

Farao says that the song is all about conquering and oppression, "and we wanted to reflect that by making a video that leaves the viewer feeling intimidated and hopefully a little anxious."

Meanwhile, Irrum – formerly of Berlin-based collective Be Proud Of Your Kids, before returning to London and recently signing with Gas & Electric – describes the shoot as "a bloody escapade in north Wales!
