Projections of a man's guilt take on the form of female figures in religious garb in this neat video for Amateur Best's song They Know. Featuring some excellent monochromatic photography, director Effie Pappa uses classic religious figures in expressive ways to communicate the man's tarnished conscience as he seeks redemption.Â
This is also a live action outing for a director better known for her work as an animator. Effie Pappa's short My Stuffed Granny has won several awards, including Best British Animation - the prestigious McLaren Award – at the 2014 Edinburgh Film Festival.
