Frank Turner 'Josephine' by Damian Weilers
Cat Velez - 11th Sept 2015
Damian Weilers has delivered some visual delight for Frank Turner's Josephine, based based on the album's thematic exploration of positivity and negativity, with Josephine is a black figure to start and the more Turner sings the more he's is covered in paint and the more she is revealed from the black.
Aside from the interesting aesthetic appeal, the image of paint retracting from Josephine ties in with Frank's lyrics, pleading with her to reveal herself to him. It also serves as a metaphor for our a state of mind, with dark thoughts clouding more encouraging ones.
