Last year, Bouha Kazmi captured our imagination with his video for The Ramona Flowers' Tokyo, and since then has also been nominated for a Young Director Award at Cannes. His new music video for Jamie Lawson’s track Wasn’t Expecting That is proof that Kazmi hasn't lost his flair for expressive storytelling.
It's a beautifully crafted, tender film boasting a strong combination of great performances and gorgeous visuals, with a simple narrative exploring the ups and downs of a couple’s life together. Rhythmically and tonally, the video perfectly befits the song, resulting in poignant and tear-jerking piece.
