Director/DoP Filip Zaluska has created this intriguing, dramatic clip for Polish electronic artist Rysy's The Fib, employing an optical effect that drives the narrative.Â
A distraught young woman at the wheel of her car in a car park, cuts to a contemplative young man standing in a different place, out in the darkness - presumably the cause of her distress. Then the video employs persistence of vision, an optical illusion in which multiple images blend into a single image in the human mind.Â
The video flashes back and forth between two different locations, merging them into one cohesive scene, resulting in a very dramatic effect - and leading to inevitable tragedy...
