The new video for Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, reunited again from their Beautiful South days, was produced by the new Rough Shots Project, a company set-up to help young people find work in film and video production. The brainchild of director Andy Hylton, the Croydon-based company takes on local young people and gives them training and experience at a professional level.

The video for the ska-infused The Austerity Of Love was shot on the streets of Croydon, inside the old Quaker Hall and the 'Arts Quarter', and local homeless young people were given opportunities to learn from paid experience on the shoot as well as gain free training in filmmaking.

Rough Shots Project are currently working on the next video for Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, in Andy's hometown of Scarborough, so could this be the start of a beautiful Northern relationship.

ANDY HYLTON:

"We are primarily helping those experiencing homelessness through learning and empowerment. The business will put the profits back into the community by helping people to learn new skills, make new contacts, find employment and ultimately help them find secure accommodation.

"Paul Heaton was keen to work with us and is a great supporter of our cause. Ben Sherman kindly donated loads of brand new button-down collared shirts, in keeping with the old ska/two-tone vibe, and these were donated to Nightwatch, a local charity who feed and clothe homeless and rough sleepers during the night.

"I think we all have a duty to ensure that we put money back into the community rather than waste it on Bento boxes, couriers and taxis. What's wrong with delivering the rushes and master straight to the label using public transport?"
