Ross McDowell of directing duo Ben & Ross has teamed up with pop video heavyweight Sophie Muller, to create this awesomely eerie video for Impossible Winner, in which rock supergroup The Dead Weather play freakshow captives, jailed in a travelling boxcar.

Book-ended by the same shot of their thuggish captors, the scene depicts the bandmates in a state of nervous despair. Featuring bassist Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs) with six fingers, Jack White with three legs and three arms, Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) with elongated fingers and vocalist Alison Mosshart (of The Kills) looking into a mirror which reflects the back of her head.

Captured at odd angles by DoP Roger Pistole, the remaining jail cells are filled with other troubling characters, such as a man weeping over his dead bride and young girl with rag doll scars taking it all in. Not to mention the dreadful sight of their raging captors, whose mouths take over their entire face...
