EastEnders actor Danny Dyer has shed his hard-man persona in this emotional video for English singer-songwriter Lucy Rose's Nebraska, directed by newcomer Chris McGill.
Visibly torn up inside by a deep inner struggle, we follow a troubled man closely through the streets of London and down into a dark underground club. And while we posit our theories of betrayal, adultery or criminal activity, the courageous protagonist faces his fear and shame head on. After steeling himself, he walks into the dressing room and after taking his dress and heels out of his bag, he joins his fellow transvestite performers in drag.
Delivering a strong yet vulnerable performance, Dyer takes us on an inspiring, emotional journey of truthful self-expression.Â
