Mystery Jets 'Bombay Blue' by Tobias Ross-Southall

Cat Velez - 14th June 2016

Tobias Ross-Southall has paired up again with British indie band Mystery Jets, and this time he's set his sights a bit further afield than for Bubblegum, which was shot in WWII's Maunsell Sea Forts.

For Bombay Blue he has travelled with the band's drummer Kapil Trivedi to, appropriately enough, the Blue City of Jodpur in India. The result is a effervescent and heartwarming document of the visit to a stunning place - not least when Trivedi and crew visits the swimming pool inside a temple, as Ross-Southall explains here.

TOBIAS ROSS-SOUTHALL:

"Working with the Mystery Jets for the second time was an incredible experience, especially as we were lucky enough to film in Jodhpur, India. Beautiful, generous locals and spectacular scenery provided a truly unique environment. We captured the colour, vibrancy and honesty of the Blue City, which complement the powerful nature of the music.

"A highlight was watching Kaps psych himself up to jump off the top of the ancient water temple. After the jump, he was celebrated by the locals and the whole temple erupted with cheers and laughter. It was an amazing moment."
