Thinkpiece 'You're People You're Evil' by Aella Jordan-Edge
David Knight - 14th Dec 2016
An adventurous young woman becomes the boyfriend that she has just dumped - courtesy of a VR headset – in Aella Jordan-Edge’s absorbing video for North London newcomers Thinkpiece.
After their break-up on the streets of Soho the girl (played by Saskia Marland) finds the headset in an underground arcade, and then finds herself seeing herself through the eyes of her ex (played by Thinkpiece frontman Callum Finn) as he embarks on a night of sleazy excess. It's a playful fantasy, where the female lead gets to enjoy being a male - with reference to the addictive nature of all-consuming digital tech.  Â
Jordan-Edge and her crew shot much of the You're People You're Evil video on the fly around Central and East London, and used a Kryten Helmet rig to capture the Smack My Bitch Up-style POV shots. The band were involved in making the video on both sides of the camera, and also make cameo appearances, as the protagonists' dodgy mates.
