Bishop Briggs 'Wild Horses' by Ramón Ayala
Luke Bather - 21st Dec 2016
Even the most evil people have to take out some time to blow off steam, surely? Well apparently they all get together in a swanky pad and invite Bishop Briggs along to sing.
Several favourite villainous archetypes are accounted for in Ramón Ayala's clip for Wild Horses. It's full of cool, distorted wide shots, a woozy atmosphere, splashes of red light and, of course, a horse. And even if the characters are not in full Lynchian or Tarantinoesque baddie mode, the video still manages to pack some attitude.
Ramon Ayala:
"The private life of the villains. I decided to deprive the archetypal characters of the actions that we always suppose from them and play with the concept of celebration, freedom and the abolition of appearances. The result is strange and beautiful. Bishop sings. They return to a wild state of play."
