Sia 'Free Me' by Blake Martin

David Knight - 16th June 2017

Featuring Zoe Saldana, narrated by Julianne Moore, and directed by Blake Martin, Sia's new video is also another notable collaboration between the artist and choreographer-extraordinaire Ryan Heffington, who transforms a drama of a pregnant woman (Saldana) who discovers she's HIV positive, into a physical metaphor of the struggle she now has to confront.

The dancers in the piece represent the battle that is going on in the woman's body, and Heffington's regular muse Denna Thomsen plays Medicine, the lead figure in a fight against the disease. But Saldana herself also acquits herself as a dancer in the piece which was made to to help the search to end HIV and AIDS.

All proceeds from the track support endhiv.com and its mission to find a cure of the disease that is the No.1 killer of women of reproductive age.
