Foster The People 'Sit Next To Me' by Fourclops & Brinton Bryan

David Knight - 20th Nov 2017

Eli Stonberg aka Fourclops is a past master of the interactive video - see his excellent work for Portugal. The Man, Avicii and others. But his and co-director Brinton Bryan's new Foster The People video in some ways turns the interactive principle on its head. It looks like your Instagram feed, acts like your Instagram feed, but it isn't - it's a fake feed that becomes hijacked by the video for Sit Next To Me.

One thing for sure, it's best viewed on your phone. This convincingly detailed creation of a feed (it was written by Brooks Morrison) was made to be viewed vertically on mobile, and it's an ingenious way to present a song with potential to be one of FTP's most popular since Pumped Up Kicks.
