"I wanted to create a film in which a woman has a strange encounter with another version of herself," says Dylan Pharazyn, who has directed a satisfying slowburner for the Kiwi band Yukon Era, with the aura of an suburban ghost tale.

Pharazyn draws us into the uneventful world of a middle-aged woman, owner of a smart house in the 'burbs of Auckland, who sees a figure in the distance dressed exactly like her when she steps out of her house, and is compelled to follow. 

From the claustrophobia of the house to the unknown of the wide open spaces, this is ultimately what is going on inside the protagonist's head.

"I love the layers of meaning in doppelgänger movies… the other self representing a guilty past or a subconscious yearning for change or an inability to act," says Pharacyn. "I’ve tried to create an emotional tale with a touch of the Twilight Zone weird."
