Fat White Family 'Serfs Up’ (Album Teaser) by Niall Trask
David Knight - 9th Jan 2019
Fat White Family are back, quite soon, and Niall Trask has prepared the ground for their return with this intriguing ‘album trailer’ which he describes as a modern retelling of the Myth of Sisyphus.
In fact, the Herculean task undertaken by FWF’s Lias Saoudi - captured in some spectacular shots of bleak English countryside by Andy Little - could be set in the Middle Ages, and that’s in keeping with the punning album title, Serf’s Up.
NIALL TRASK:
"A modern retelling of the Myth of Sisyphus to herald the return of a Fat White Family. It was a particularly bad week for me, so the whole thing felt kind of meta, was expecting the throne to change from gold to faeces at any moment. I'm actually more proud of my costume design than direction."
