Com Truise’s new video is an elemental delight, a quiet journey through the seasons of a woman’s life by Gianluca Minucci.
He uses Com Truise’s song title as a metaphysical conceit. An ultrafiche is a near obsolete piece of technology, in which a library of photographs are compressed into shrunken pages of information on film. And this video is an ultrafiche of one woman and her memories. Static, fragmentary moments and intensely physical sensations: wind through a meadow; a nape of a man's neck; the fall of Summer rain; and footsteps in the snow.
Minucci’s moving video bears watching and re-watching, if only for Jeremy Kerr’s sensual, inquisitive photography.
