The Snuts' new video for Maybe California, directed by Ronan Corrigan and Hope Kemp, is one big slice of Americana – a homage to the Red White & Blue.
Set in the queue of a drive-thru diner, the band watch as the rose-tinted nostalgia of the American dream is slowly, remorselessly wiped away.
Observing from the back of the queue, the group watch as enamoured newlyweds become frustrated with each other's presence, a pregnant woman chainsmokes and a businessman fills his coffee with booze.
Under the neon lights, the facade behind the fake smiles and happy exteriors begins to deteriorate, leaving a raw and more honest depiction of day-to-day life.
