Prospa 'Control The Party' by Jak Payne

Rob Ulitski - 8th Nov 2019

A woman escapes a forbidding testing facility in Jak Payne's video for Prospa's banging Control The Party.

Shot in the soon to be demolished Fawley Power Station, the concept centres on a group of unwilling test subjects, reminiscent of the MK Ultra experiments of the 1960s. As the lead character, played by model Alice Dellal, enters the facility, she notices several others in various states of distress.

With styling that nods towards Jean-Paul Gaultier's stunning bondage pieces in The Fifth Element, and a heavy use of dramatic red and green lighting, this is a dystopia that no-one wants to be a part of. Our protagonist escapes the facility with a little help from a friend, but as she sits on the beach enjoying her new found freedom, you can't help but wonder if she is going to get dragged right back in.
