Bliss Nova 'Turning Off The Headlights' by Adam Mark Brown
Rob Ulitski - 14th Nov 2019
A nomadic girl attempts to find her place in a tough world in a Adam Mark Brown's video for synthpop duo Bliss Nova.
Featuring Yarisel Estrada as the girl, who checks into a motel, dresses up and dons a wig - but then ends up eating a slice of cake in a nondescript diner - the visual, shot over a night in Austin, Texas, is a poignant meditation. And it shows how the early morning hours can be a chance to reflect and plan, away from the hustle and bustle of daytime life.Â
The artists are also cleverly inserted into the video, appearing in several of the same scenes, watching from the sidelines - they play an almost guardian angel role - in Brown's emotive and reflective video.
