Passenger 'The Way That I Love You' by Raja Virdi
Rob Ulitski - 26th Mar 2020
Raja Virdi directs a picturesque promo for Passenger's The Way That I Love You.
Shot in in iconic locations across Paris, including Montmartre and Champs-Élysées, we follow actor Rosie Day as she takes in the sights and sounds of the city of love. Poignant and heartfelt, the promo was shot on both 35mm and 16mm by Tristan Chenais, who captures the romantic vibe of the city in a documentary fashion.
With undertones of loneliness and heartbreak, there is a hidden depth to the visual which is subtly portrayed in Day's performance, creating a contrast between her inner thoughts and outer reality. And keep an eye out for Passenger - real name Michael Rosenberg - in a 'blink and you'll miss it' cameo around the halfway mark.
