Henry Dean has directed a fascinating music documentary for MJ Cole's first album in 17 years - and his first classical/ambient album - MJ Cole Presents Madrugada.

Shot in Ukraine, in Kiev and Odessa, Dean's doc follows the lives of several unconnected individuals - the surfer, the mother, the lovers, the shepherd and the clubber. As it turns out, they are all linked by time: the fact that they are up and awake at the time of day when everyone else is asleep - just before dawn.

The project has also become the basis for a number of music videos for tracks from the new MJ Cole album - still scenes which change from darkness tolight as dawn breaks, and a shorter, alternate version of the documentary for the track Cathedral.
