Waley Wang evokes carefree nostalgia in his latest promo for Cool Company.
The video for Blessing explores a love triangle between two men - played by the band - and a woman, in a modern Jules et Jim-inspired ménage à trois, set at the turn of the 20th century.
In the narrative, there is no maliciousness or toxic jealousy, only a warm portrayal of intimacy, love, and nostalgia, which blurs the lines between friendship and romance.
The old country house location is the perfect setting for the concept, allowing the relationship the space to breathe and grow without restriction.
The use of slow motion and ramped frame rates elicits dreamy, euphoric vibes, which aligns with the overall feeling of the concept.
