Director Elena Petitti di Roreto reinterprets the classic artform of opera in her powerful new film Anna - Stage of Emotions - a multi-dimensional portrait of iconic opera singer Anna Netrebko, that has been graded in London by Studio RM's chief colourist Jamie Noble.

Offering a behind-the-scenes look at the fragmented nature of performing, the 34 minute film embraces the emotional dichotomy of world-famous opera singer Netrebko, and her life lived between two worlds, in a narrative that skilfully unveils opera through a contemporary lens.

Having worked together on numerous projects over the past three years, Studio RM's Jamie Noble underscores Petitti’s edit with skilful colour grading to maintain a constant level of saturation, resembling the feel of walking through a theatre utilized in the critically acclaimed Black Swan.

“Our goal was to show a new facet of how opera can be demonstrated," says Werner Klemm, executive producer and CEO of German production company, Rekorder. "[This is] Opera as it was never seen before, modern and visual with storytelling at its core.”
