A curious jellyfish wanders through a sepia-toned world, in Nicholas Ashe Bateman's cinematic promo for Father John Misty.

Blending breathtaking visual effects with a nostalgic narrative, the video for Funny Girl follows the jellyfish as it encounters a tornado in the middle of an unknown landscape, before anxiously floating away and transcending into a colourful, ethereal realm. 

With a few nods to classic film The Wizard of Oz - including a field of flowers and a minacious, green-tinged castle - the project feels like it belongs in the Old Hollywood era, both visually and sonically, and successfully creates a rich world that begs to be explored further.
