Kieran Howe directs gripping video for Scottish indie-folk outfit Gentle Sinners, where a man falls into a place where painful memories come flooding back.

Flipping from realism to a supernatural dark space, and introducing some striking visual edits, Howe marshals his resources to create a distinctive nightmare world, as experienced by his main character played by Evans Khumalo. He delivers an impressive performance of a man who is being confronted by his past, and desperately seeking the exit door to his torment.

It's a powerful accompaniment to Landfill, a gritty song by this 'supergroup' comprised of Aidan Moffett (of Arab Strap) and James Graham (The Twilight Sad).
