Will Hooper and Max McLachlan take Bally Gill on a surreal journey into the desert for Raining In LA, the first collaboration between the directors and London soul combo Franc Moody for the upcoming new album.
It starts with a lo-fi info-mercial, featuring the band, about the joys of a new tavel agent, FM Travel. Then the gullible working guy played by Gill signs up and takes a suspicious coach journey into the desert to escape his mundane existence. But he finds himself in a very strange, upside world, and facing a very odd fate...
Hooper and McLachlan are working for the first time as a directing duo on the project, having created visualisers for each of the five tracks on Into The Ether, the new Franc Moody album. Over several months they produced a slew of info-mercials, teasers and easter eggs which paved the way for the full-length music video for Raining In LA.
