The Helmi-directed music video for The Kid Laroi immerses us in a voyeuristic display of the intimate moments between the artist and Katarina Deme - and what happens to them over the next fifty years.
Realism - as captured through smartphone videos - gradually evolves into gradually evolves into an exaggerated and absurd depiction of what the couple might become in future decades, highlighting the physical transformations and the excesses of time and luxury.
It's a grotesque spectacle - and a satire with real bite. But at the same time, behind the trappings and effects of fame and wealth, there's genuine emotion.
