Kassandra Powell reunites with pop singer-songwriter Girli for their fourth collab, with a humourous take on the efforts we take to resolve our relationship problems.Â
The video for 2 Year Itch explores commitment issues in a concept that recreates the early TV-era of vintage cosmetic advertising, and satirises human weakness for 'snake oil' cures. Girli is the brains behind '2 Year Itch Cream', acting as both therapist and salesperson as she urges couples whose relationships are going stale to try the dubious product and relight their spark - and rakes in the cash.Â
From the sets to the styling, the era-specific details are top-notch. An autumnal array of patterns and fabrics present a mid-20th century aesthetic to contrast Girli's usually hyper-vibrant persona, which also feels authentic to the track.
