Makeshift Art Bar 'Discipline' by Colin Peppard

Promonews - 12th June 2026
A Harry Styles impersonator struggles to separate who he is from who he performs every night in a bar in Benidorm, in Colin Peppard's engrossing film for Belfast post-punk outfit Makeshift Art Bar.
Sean McNicholas plays the Styles-alike - who does not really look like him, but has spangly dungarees similar to the As It Was video, and tattoos. As he starts entertaining holidaymakers in the legendary Spanish resort with his act, he begins spiralling into self-delusion, to the existential howl of the band's track Discipline.Â
The combination of the sun-kissed location and the music is utterly incongruous, but it works. And it turns out that Peppard and his team have not strayed too far from reality: Sean McNicholas really is a Harry Styles tribute act in Benidorm, contacted by Peppard originally about making a documentary.
Peppard and McNicholas have been talking to Aussie music video show RAGE about the making of the video. Read the feature here.Â
