A gang of feral kids kidnap Pretty Sick frontwoman Sabrina Fuentes to put a strange plan into action in Rodrigo Inada's supercool video for Fuentes' rock outfit.

In the video for Anarchy, Inada creates an off-the-wall action comedy, hyper-stylish and visceral in its delivery through cinematography, styling and editing. Fuentes is the deadpan central figure in a swirl of scary pre-teens, who violently abduct her from her car, for purposes that become clear later on.

With its breathless pace, lo-fi aesthetic and commitment to absurdity, it's a shift for the director, but works with the punk-ish rock of Pretty Sick - and after all, the song is called Anarchy. It all leads to a pulsating climax, under the lights of an (unseen) alien spacecraft.

"They believe she is the saviour of humanity - as soon as she plays the guitar, they believe the aliens will come and save us from ourselves," explains Inada, who adds that the video was Inspired in early 90's videos ("MTV peak") and early Harmony Korine.

"This project was the definition of let's put everything in front of the camera and not behind it," he says. "We tried to focus on the idea, and what the story was asking for, rather than fancy toys."
