Cristina Streciwik directs a frenetic promo for Brazilian artist Duda Beat. Alongside creative director Marcelo Jarosz, Streciwik pays homage to the world of 80's VHS horror movies, with a romanticised, high-fashion twist. Hopping between gritty analogue textures and slick performance footage, the video is imbued with the chaotic sensibilities of public access television, harking back to the days of hotline ads, text overlays and truly strange conceptual television. “It’s an energetic song, kind of hypnotic, so we decided to bring some kind of edginess to the editing and footage textures, all done with analog system of image capture," Streciwik mentions. “It all started with the live concerts. We were working on the backdrops for Duda’s new show, when we decided to turn it to a music video, as the images were so meaningful and strong," Jarosz adds. The result is a mix of visual languages, disrupted and re-invented. It’s like to walk-in in a pop-store with a cutting edge architecture where you find dozens of weird home videos to delight yourself. It’s that contemporary flavor with a vintage touch.

Yago Hunt-Laudi directs a mesmerising multi-format promo for Easy Life and Gus Dapperton.Combining beautiful cinematography and analogue textures - including charcoal, pastel, tape, and paper printouts - the video sees the artists travelling around in an ice cream van, interspersed with an amalgam of vintage imagery and abstract cutaways. The DIY, zine-like aesthetic of the cutaways contrasts with the slick setups in the truck and on the roof, creating a timeless vibe and plenty of details to catch on a second or third watch.

Lisa Rieffel directs a dirty analogue-synth cover of Radiohead's classic Creep for her band H. Kink.In an early celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the song, Rieffel puts a Valentines-meets-Halloween spin on the concept, playing a lovelorn stalker who follows actor Jon Daly to his bloody demise... with a rather monstrous reveal at the climax. Paying homage to horror B-movies with lo-fi visual effects and unpretentious cinematography, it's a rather absurd, tongue-in-cheek joyride that honours the original whilst standing very much on its own legs.

Philip Reinking and Thomas James Linton co-direct the video for YOVA's Would I Change It? (If I Could).Backdropped by several computer-generated environments, we see the duo perform as they are washed with glowy textures and lighting effects. The dreamy look in several scenes is achieved in-camera through the use of stockings and a prism.Lo-fi and whimsical, the visual is a perfect fit for the analogue musicians and their abstract sound.
