Directing team Racer direct a melancholic, softly surreal promo for bedroom dance-pop artist Rian Brazil. The video for People Like U is imbued with a frantic yet poignant energy, blending impassioned performance with experimental camerawork and analogue cutaways.Shot at Dungeness on the Kent coast, Rian mulls over memories of a girlfriend - who is rendered featureless in the video. "When hearing the track for the first time, we immediately recognised the fragmented and unorthodox approach to a generic theme, love," explain Racer. "We wanted to reflect this in our film, touching on the idea of a past romance but coming at it from a bizarre, ambiguous angle."We originally recce’d around Dungeness for a different location but when driving through the area we came across this cool looking caravan park that had a real 'liminal space' aesthetic. This served as the perfect melancholic backdrop for some of our favourite parts of the film."It's worth noting too that Rian’s such a great artist to collaborate with - he cares deeply about his visuals and gets as excited as we do through the process. His presence in front of the lens is unmatched too. A dream to work with!"

Manoela Chiabai directs an energetic and offbeat promo for punk outfit Crows, exploring one man's anxiety, represented by a grotesque birdman creature. Shot in a frantic, feverish way, the video for Bored sees the man tries to outrun his fear - but the birdman pops up everywhere he goes. It's a quirky vision by Chiabai that matches the track's dynamic pace, maintaining it's grip until an enigmatic climax.

Oscar-nominated director Colm Bairéad directs an evocative promo for PJ Harvey, featuring acclaimed actor Ruth Wilson. The video for Seem An I features Wilson, running across a rural field in slow motion. A simple but strong idea, from the director of Irish language drama The Quiet Girl, nominated for Best Film in a Foreign Language at the Academy Awards in 2023, that is invested with mystery and drama by the presence of Wilson.And while the reasons for her flight are left to the viewer's imagination, the urgency and camerawork complements the power in Harvey's music, and builds to a powerful cliffhanger ending. Breathtaking work.

Jim Longden directs his first music video since signing to Prettybird UK for Jaxxon D Silva, featuring the artist playing an imprisoned character in a brick-lined cell, talking to his alter ego, and then assuming numerous more intriguing personalities.Surreal and eccentric in its concept, the visual for Crack In The Mask features a frantic blend of hypnotic characters and vignettes, in a clash of music video and horror film aesthetics. "This was my second time directing Jaxxon on screen," explains Longden. "Similar to the first time last year in Don't Look At Me, it was a bizarre, peculiar and outlandish experience. But we managed to get it done due to the two of us being strict, quick and having rehearsed and argued our thoughts for a few days before the shoot."Having the test of creating a film or video in just one room is a test I had always wanted to face. I am pleased with the outcome, and my respect for filmmakers like Sidney Lumet, which has already very high, has grown even more."
