Roger Spy directs the second in a trilogy of music videos for singer-songwriter Jessica Winter. The video for Aftersun takes inspiration from the iconic Chris Cunningham promo for Madonna's Frozen, with a daytime, VFX-infused twist. Set within an arid landscape, the video blends lingering performance shots and slow motion snapshots, to match the relaxed pace of the track. "We wanted to approach it more like a ballad, then Jessica said "let's do (the video) as an upbeat day time version of Frozen," Spy explains. "Personally for me Frozen is such a visual staple of constant inspiration so I was super happy and excited to do it."

David Heofs has directed a collection of 13 videos for Spanish rapper Dano’s new album, Nuevos Trapos, and the video for Dupont Dreams serves as the cornerstone of the whole visual album, bringing together fragments from each of the situations explored in the other 12 pieces - which were all filmed entirely in a single take.Set in a purely nocturnal atmosphere, the project celebrates the city of Madrid and the historic places that have been significant both for the local hip-hop scene and for the artist himself.Evocative and atmospheric, the video feels like a series of moving portraits, lingering moments of time captured in a surreal way. Strongly focussed on a rapper at the top of his game it's intriguing and uplifting. Another notable achievement by this talented director.

Indie folk duo Lilo carry their broken tandem bike across country fields in Michael Upson's meditative promo for their song Cycling.It's the aftermath of a bad accident, with the band's Christie and Helen bearing the evidence in facial cuts and grazes as well as the mangled bicycle they are carrying. Leaning into the sense of uncertainty in the lyrics, the simple yet strong visual idea also allies with a sense of calmness and reflection after a traumatic episode. Filmed in and around Bradwell-on-sea in Essex, the relaxed pacing of the visuals here reflects the mood. And there's a lovely twist at the end...Upson explains that the project was turned around in rapid time. "Shot on Saturday and released the following Wednesday - nuts," he says."Keeping the idea simple, having a brilliant crew and being very lucky with how accommodating Bubble were with post is the only way it was possible to pull off in such a short time on such a small budget."
