An audacious promo for Irish rock band Somebody's Child by Adrian Lee and band frontman Cian Godfrey - shot in Waterloo Station in London. The video for Porcelain (Losing All My Patience) begins with a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche: “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” And it might well have been influenced by a famous Fatboy Slim video, as Godfrey picks a very busy public space to plug into his old-school Walkman headphones and start dancing to the track. The video has a breezy, fun vibe, with the viewer's interest divided between Godfrey's performance and the reactions (or studious non-reactions) from the onlooking public. It's experimental but its also cinematic, testing the waters between off-the-cuff and staged. And also a great match to the track - which thankfully, viewers can also hear and dance along to.
