London-based Romanian director Mihai Feflea directs an absorbing promo for singer-songwriter and rapper Killa Fonic. Shot in Bucharest on Kodak 16mm film, the video for the Romanian artist's track Păsări Migratoare showcases the artist's multiplicity of alter-egos, as Feflea crafts a stark yet immersive world, where shifting environments and characterisations merge into abstract narrative setups. Inspired by Jean Luc Godard's colour montage and Hong Kong cinema of the 2000s, the visual has a textural, grungy aesthetic, elevated by the idiosyncratic vignettes. Very cool.
