Aron Randhawa directs an experimental promo for up-and-coming rapper Pozzy, shot frame-by-frame using only still photography at 12fps. For the video for Been Around Randhawa has captured 150,000 RAW images that were manually lip-synched, blending traditional UK rap concepts with experimental camera techniques and a sprinkle of virtual production.“We’ve all seen burst images… where many photos are captured in quick succession," he explains. "But cameras have now reached the point where their speed is constant. Not as fast as shooting video, but constant. The result is a subtle effect that dances between hyper levels of sharpness and a lot of motion blur. It’s an interesting mix that feels both digital and vintage.”
