Fa & Fon have directed six new visualisers as part of the visual album release of JADE's debut solo album That's Showbiz Baby!, each one translating the singer's sound into playful, cinematic worlds, delivered in the directing duo's signature style. The new arrivals fit perfectly into the manically satirical sensibility established by previous acclaimed videos for the album, including the twin sisters' previous collaborations with ex-Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall, for Midnight Cowboy and IT Girl - all featured on the visual album. Furthermore, while each visualiser feels like its own little universe, they also weave together into a bigger picture. In Headache, JADE attempts to impress a judging panel of tough-to-please nightlife princesses with her burlesque-friendly act - involving a (genuinely impressive) JADE-branded giant cup of tea... [vidtoken data:0]In Glitch, JADE hangs with her clone-like gang, engaging in strange rituals that get increasingly out of hand, delivered in an intense cut by editor Pawel Achtelik.[vidtoken data:1]For the wistful Silent Disco, we're taken to the dancefloor with a twist, as JADE and boyfriend Jordan are replaced by 'lookalikes' whose age profile is more appropriate to the working men's club setting. [vidtoken data:2]In the quasi-romantic viz for Lip Service, JADE is the girl on a Noughties-style late night adult TV channel, with a charmed (and charming) caller who has the hots for her...[vidtoken data:3]In the more reflective but still satirical Unconditional, Fa & Fon revisit the scenarios for the previous visualisers through apparent BTS and CCTV footage, revealing JADE's sadness and the emptiness behind the pop artifice.[vidtoken data:4]In Self Sabateur, its all about JADE's online personality through live videos on social media - with her various incarnations providing entertaining fakeness while revealing some underlying truth. And its funny - including the generally unflattering chat feed.[vidtoken data:5]JADE is very good in this one - as she is in all of them - and it arguably acts as a microcosm of the whole album campaign. It also exemplifies what a fine job that Fa & Fon have done too in this ambitious and very impressive project.

Jonas Åkerlund reunites with veteran wild boys Duran Duran to make a fantastic video inspired by the late 19th/early 20th century obsession with the supernatural and communicating with the dead. Having worked with the band on their Girl Panic video back in 2010, the Grammy-winning director is back with a fresh vision for Black Moonlight, following the group through a performative séance, in the style of an early silent movie.[imgtoken data:1]A haunting play on the history of clairvoyance and mysticism, the visual is inspired by the artwork of the band's new album Danse Macabre, which itself features images adapted from a collection of vintage séance photos, personally sourced by keyboardist Nick Rhodes at auction. The video is packed full of Åkerlund trademarks - a playful balance of surrealism and commercial appeal, a killer concept and captivating imagery - and perfectly embodies the enigmatic track. [imgtoken data:2]Furthermore, the monochromatic aesthetic adds a nostalgic appeal to the promo, playing into horror iconography and spooky vintage cinema, beautifully captured by DoP Ole Birkeland. And it turns out that Nick Rhodes was born to play a silent movie mad professor...[imgtoken data:3]

Charlie Di Placido and J Lloyd bring the gang back together for a special Jungle project - a double-header for the new tracks Good Times and Problemz.Maintaining the longstanding tradition of Jungle videos, this once again features a large group of dancers working together to create a brilliant spectacle to accompany the production duo's euphoric music - in this case, two uplifting routines.[imgtoken data:1]The group includes the Ghetto Funk Collective dance company, and its dancer/choreographers Roché Apinsa and Ruben Chi have the chance to shine in a more than usually pared-down setting for the studio-set piece. As well as the regular directing team of Di Placido and Lloyd - aka Jungle's Josh Lloyd-Watson - DoP Olly Wiggins is back to shoot this single video for two tracks, implementing a theatrical lighting change to create a distinction between the two: with the bright and breezy Good Times, the studio is cast in warm off-white; for Problemz, things get darker, and sexier, as the studio turns a shade of deep red...

Dan Massie directs an uptempo live performance promo for Ed Sheeran.Filmed in the Session Arts Club - a brand new venue in London - the video features Ed jamming with friends, performing an acoustic version of his hit song Bad Habits. The rich decor and earthy colour palette matches the organic feel of the stripped-back track, and showcases both Ed and the ethereal location in a great light.

Dan Massie directs a brooding promo for Ed's current hit Bad Habits. Shot in one take in a grungy, austere room, Ed performs an acoustic version of the track, as the camera carefully unravels around him. The use of minimal art direction and cracked, boarded up windows, creates an enigmatic vibe, raising questions that linger unanswered in the background of the concept. The balance between the sunlight burning through the windows and barely flickering practical lights also reflect the contrast of the lyrical themes.

WIZ reunites with longtime collaborator Will Young for the first part of a short film, heralding the singer's latest project, an album of cover versions. And once again, director and artist explore interesting dramatic territory for Young's intriguing take on Bat For Lashes' Daniel.Young plays an ageing theatre actor - a character in sad decline, desperately clinging to his dignity. As he has demonstrated in various other videos down the years, directed by WIZ and others, the singer demonstrates a real capacity to inhabit a role and express vulnerability, and here he plays this flawed character with real pathos."The Daniel video is the first of two to be derived from Just Like That, a short film featuring Will," explains WIZ - aka Andrew Whiston. "The theme is addiction - addiction to performance. How there’s no escaping it, despite all the damage it may bring. It always pulls you back, as seemingly the only fulfilment lies in the ephemeral thrill of the stage. Also, it was shot By Robbie Ryan, which is pretty insane!"With muted cinematography and in-camera effects by Ryan - the DoP renowned for his work with Ken Loach and Andrea Arnold - WIZ keeps focussed on Young's characterisation throughout, prefaced by narrative context. It's on a smaller scale than the epic cinematic drama they created together for All Time Love some years ago, but arguably this is WIZ and Will Young's most courageous collaboration yet.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Ben Lankester returns to music videos with an intense and riveting study of a fiercely committed boxer for Big Ideas. The band is the new project by Nathan Nicholson and Adam Harrison - of The Boxer Rebellion - and Lankester himself, on board as creative director and responsible for the visual identity of the project. And the video for the debut release The American Dream is a powerful statement of intent, featuring a charismatic performance by the boxer and actor Tom Benett. With superb cinematography by Carl Burke, Lankester focusses upon the boxer's punishing training regime, his manic drive to be the champion, and the devastating impact it has upon his mental wellbeing. The story is told more as a psychodrama, which puts character and metaphor ahead of typical narrative; and Lankester and Burke draw upon the rich heritage of boxing in film to show a man brought low by his commitment to the American Dream. The end result is a video that punches well above it's weight.[imgtoken data:1]

Meji Alabi and Maleek Berry pair up again after the success of their last collaboration, For My People. Their latest release for Kontrol is a tongue-in-cheek video that sees the artist sat in a chair, flicking through the channels, deciding which female dancer to check out. Occasionally deciding to give one of them control - by literally giving them the remote - when he feels like it.It's a colourfully art-directed piece with some great twerk action and an array of backdrops for Maleek to playfully exercise his 'Kontrol.'

The promo follows a cinematic, and violent narrative, dealing with concepts of fatherhood, revenge and rebellion. We see as a Father promises his son to an organised fighting circuit to pay off mysterious debts, the son refuses to fight back, to repeatedly get up and force his father to watch the violence done towards him. An act of self-sacrificial rebellion towards the father that ironically culminates in the son surviving the fight, and being handed over to the circuit for good.
