Sinclair Bryant directs a striking&nbsp;promo for Australian-British singer-songwriter and producer Charlotte Plank, diving into a world of mannequins and frozen poses.&nbsp;Leading an all-female team of HoDs - including&nbsp;Chaimuki (DoP), Naomi Feld&nbsp;(set designer), Elle Fell (stylist), Shani Mushington&nbsp;(HMU) and Sidney Williams (editor) - Bryant's video for Candy Stores is&nbsp;an editorial-style vision blurring&nbsp;the line between the artificial and the real.[imgtoken data:1]As the track builds, the magical candy store comes to life, in a surrealist twist on suburban bliss, where the bright polish of a 1950's dreamscape gives way to a darker undercurrent. With&nbsp;Plank as both performer and observer of the phenomenon, the female mannequins begin to stir.The mannequins were cleverly portrayed by a cast of real people, made possible by the work of the hair and make-up team, who crafted striking looks. It's bold work, elevated by the cast's commitment to their characters and an inspired use of styling and makeup.&nbsp;

ZUKUNFT, the film division of London and New York-based creative production studio Builders Club - which includes directos Anton Tammi and Olivia Rose among its creative collaborators -&nbsp;has now launched a new venture ZUKUNFT AI, partnering with leading AI artists worldwide to tap into a new world of content creation.ZUKUNFT AI's collaborators include Leilanni Todd, Tom Furse, Sam Finn (aka AI.S.A.M), Nik Gundersen, Daria Presnova and more.Tom Furse has created a succession of AI-based music videos in the past year, including <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2024/01/31/vintage-culture-maverick-sabre-tom-breu-weak-tom-furse/84913" target="_blank">Vintage Culture featuring Maverick Sabre &amp; Tom Breu's Weak</a>, and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2024/02/15/anna-prior-tech-n%C3%A3o-tom-furse/85202" target="_blank">Anna Prior's Tech Não</a>.&nbsp;Sam Finn is a AI photographer and creative director who has directed a visualizer for <a href="https://zukunft.services/artists/zukunft-ai/play/sam-finn#9312b3c76293" target="_blank">Sad Night Dynamite</a>.“We at digital arts studios Builders Club started our new creative studio focussed on film &amp; photography ZUKUNFT almost a year ago," says co-founder and creative director Julien Simshauser. London and New York-based creative production studio Builders Club are expanding their offering with a new film division, ZUKUNFT.ZUKUNFT lists a number of live action directors who are non-exclusively repped to direct commercials, music videos, documentaries, live shows and experiences – including Anton Tammi – winner of Best Director at the UKMVAs 2020, for his work with The Weeknd – Olivia Rose, Norman Wong, Ruth Hunduma, Masha Batsii, Kris Ludi, Céclia Poupon and Builders Club themselves.With co-founders Julien Simshauser and Jonas Hegi as joint ECDs, the company brings a fresh new perspective to the production model for both directors and clients, and expanding on the offering of high end VFX, 3D motion and design offered by Builders Club.Julien&nbsp;Simshauser says the aim of ZUKUNFT is to operate on a global level, and explore the potential of new technology with film production.“We started ZUKUNFT because we wanted to collaborate more freely with the best talent in the world rather than being restricted by our full-time team at Builders Club Studios,” says Simshauser “We thought that a hybrid model between an agency and a film production company doesn’t exist yet so we wanted to start that. ZUKUNFT will not just operate in one region but work globally.” Simshauser adds: “We will try to be reactive rather than predict the future, there’s lots of potential with AI and merging this technology with film production, which is something to be excited about. Our style of work is grounded in reality but inspired by technology and emerging cultural aesthetics.
