MATHY & FRAN:

"There's a wonderful intricacy to the song and, with Anna's magnetic presence, we wanted to create something stripped back that placed an emotional focus on her performance. 

"We were drawn towards the theme of synesthesia and creating a developing narrative of pure colour around Anna - moving through the entire spectrum whilst gradually losing saturation until the colour fades completely. We loved the idea of this taking place across a single shot with no editing, so in effect the colour creates the cuts.  

"Shooting on 35mm film gave us a fantastic reading of the colours which were created with programmed lighting  - allowing for a vivid and subtly shifting backdrop for Anna's mesmerising performance."
