Labrinth 'Let It Be' by Us
David Knight - 29th Aug 2014
New material from Labrinth has been a while in coming, and the video for his new album's first single Let It Be, directed by Us (that's Luke Taylor and Christopher Barrett), breaks down the making of that album in a very original way.Â
Using their experience of motion control – acquired from making commericals like their Icons ad for the Sunday Times - Luke and Chris have dramatised the key milestones in the creative process - taking it back from the recording, through the writing, rehearsing, and label meetings, and back to the recording - and captured them all in one fluid motion, in a single space. It's a real statement by Labrinth - and typically for Us, it's a brilliant technical achievement.
